Housing for Urban Inhabitant
Perumahan Kampung Skudai Kiri

Students of SBA3126 are given the opportunities to design a New Housing Scheme for inhabitant at Kg. Skudai Kiri Johor Bahru. This studio aims to study existing community and housing at Kg Skdai Kiri whom are majority Malay low income urban community. The project proposed overall development, layout planning and designing housing for sustainable urban housing community. This Work base studio also emphasis the integration of social aspect, and low energy housing design solutions.
Several Program Tasks were planned:-
a. Background study on Housing (a group of 4 students will be given a specific topic to be studied and presented in the seminar session.
b. Site study – inventory, analysis and synthesis.
c. Case Study on Environmental Design, Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RE&EE) elements and technologies in housing design..
d. Study visits to Housing Projects.
e. Proposed overall site planning and housing layout.
f. Individual design of Housing scheme & producing presentation drawings.
