JB Prison Museum and Visitor Centre
Students of SBA2126 are given the opportunities to design a New Craft Centre and Gallery as part of the Prison Museum and Visitor Centre at Johor Bahru Prison (JBP). This studio focuses on the idea of respecting and designing as well as planning built form for sustainable future. This Workbase studio also emphasis the integration of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy techniques and technologies in the design solutions.
Several Program Tasks were arranged :-
a. Background study on Enviro Design, Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RE&EE) Technologies in building design.
b. Site study – inventory, analysis and synthesis.
c. Design New Craft Centre and Gallery.
d. Working Drawing
